Helen is a highly experienced teacher, having shared her unique practice across the U.K. and internationally for over a decade.

She works with both professionals and aspiring artists; from early stages development and youth, to adults, across both arenas of poetry and dance, sometimes bridging the two in creative and professional development work.

Teaching credits include Autin Dance Theatre, The DanceXchange, The Southbank Centre (Poetry Int Festival) The Poetry School, Writing West Midlands, Writing East Midlands, Hounslow Action for Youth, Loughborough University, N.A.W.E, and the University of Birmingham.

Contemporary class

Helen’s contemporary class combines her training in release, jazz, and Cuban and Afro rhythms for a full-bodied movement experience. Expect fluidity, creativity. Phrases that melt you to the floor. Dynamic travelling sequences that start simple, and grow in complexity. Everybody sweats and smiles.

Cuban Salsa, Cuban Rhythms

Helen’s Cuban classes are for everyone, from beginners through to intermediate and advanced. Classes focus on technique and footwork. Connection. Grounding in the floor, partner dynamics, and body rhythm. Always fun, engaging, expert training, whatever the level.
